I enjoyed the movie - it generally stuck with the theme of "here's a problem". But the discussion panel was disgusting. The "solutions" for the social security/medicare funding issues were all along the lines of "these programs are fine, it's just bad implementation/management". From AARP's "work 'til you drop" to Cato's "government-approved & enforced investment program", not one person proposed the only workable, moral solution: get rid of the programs. These and other government programs kill family & community support, independence, and ethics. People -are- able to plan and save on their own if they know they have to, regardless of what the panel members think.

I agree with StingingNettle that the panel discussion should be left off the DVD.

I have made several presentations to high school seniors on the same subject. Not surprisingly my presentation is similar to the film as I had based it on the book, Empire of Debt.

I cannot wait to buy some DVDs for my local schools.

Yeah, I know that this has been said before. But that pannel really damaged the impact of the movie. Instead of a cirsis that must be deal with, you are left leaving the movie that the pie will be bigger so everyone will have more, and the SS is not that hard to fix.

I hat to say it, but I don't even think it should be included in the dvd. It just won't inspire people to act on this very serious issue.

To leave a good note, I love the movie itself. I thought it was great. Here in downtown Seattle the theater was about 80 to 90% full.
