OK, the world financial implodes and the dollar is worthless. In anticipation of this, it doesn't make much sense to have any dollar denominated investments,i.e.(gold CD's, Japanese REITS, etc.). So, now where are we, as simple citizens, trying to preserve our hard earned wealth? Should we take our money and buy and take delivery of gold, and just hang on? It sounds like anything we have, that is denominated in dollars, is too risky in light of the governments' headlong destruction of the dollar. Why should we invest in anything except real gold? And, if we do, what's to keep the government from taking it away from us? Nutty thoughts---but food for thought.

Jatropha! Does anyone remember the hype in the late 70's about Jojoba beans? That was supposed to replace our dependence on oil. It was supposed to be easy to grow and produce over 40% oil. Times do not

Kudos, fellas, site's a beaut.

Here's 2 cents on the knocking of two zeros from Nigerian currency.

Plot's pretty thick...the new President and the People think the Central Bank Governor (intellectual, Charles Soludo) is an "Alan Greenspan-wannabe" [I'd be worried, wouldn't you]

Seems Saludo pushed the act thru in cahoots with outgoing prez...who did NOT succeed in securing a third term with a constitution change. Ah well, Obasanjo, we can't all have Chavez' cahones!

Hey, didn't Ghana recently knock 4 zeros? What did it do for them?

I would like it better if I could have a portal that included my Agora subscriptions with discussions that were available for subscription members. It is a start.
